First of all, THANK YOU for visiting my web site. I hope you have found it enjoyable, informative, and easy to navigate, and that you will visit it again before too long. I enjoy hearing from readers, regular or new, so please take the time to send me an e-mail.   Nobody, man or woman, has written a more sensitive or more moving love story than R D Blackmore with Lorna Doone. That particular saga inspired me to write romance stories in the first place. It was one of those books I had to study at school and, unlike many of the others, it was no chore - I really could not put it down. Naturally, I have read it again in later life and enjoyed it just as much. I once paid homage by visiting the beautiful Doone Valley and found the idyllic little church where John Ridd and Lorna were wed! Other writers I particularly admire are Bryce Courtenay, Frederick Forsythe, Michael Crichton, Francis Brett Young, Ellen Thorneycroft Fowler, Bill Bryson, Emile Zola, Philippa Gregory and Thoma Hardy.
